Managed to solve this issue guys. I was running a Ubiquiti UniFi Controller version 5. Upon uninstalling the old version I prompted if I would like to keep the current settings, I chose the 'YES' option as I wanted to keep the current settings and configs. After that I proceeded by installing the new version. I was immediately asked via a prompt if I have a backup or not.
I had no back up so I chose the 'NO' option. After multiple attempts I decided to select the 'YES' option meaning, I do have a back up, even though I didn't have one and installation went smoothly after that. And yes I finally logged in! I faced this issue right after I upgraded the controller. Right after that, I downgraded it to the older firmware version and the controller was able to start without issue. By any chance did you upgrade the firmware? If you have a backup, uninstall Unifi and reinstall it.

Cheers dude! Aaron below is part of the log:. It can be a bit daunting to remember that the controller needs to be manually started whenever the server is restarted. Setting the controller as an automated service will cause the controller to re-launch every time the server is started. Make sure UniFi is not running. Locate your java installation directory. You have now created a service that will start the UniFi controller each time the server, or computer, is started.
